I have enjoyed your frankness about the many issues you've faced. Because my paper focuses on Taiwanese immigration I was hoping you would be willing to give me a quick sentence (or however much you feel) about your thoughts on how you identify yourself. I did not see much distinction between Taiwanese and Chinese in your story or on your blog (admittedly, I may have missed). Do you feel this is a moot point or serious issue? I have interviewed one Taiwanese immigrant (they are far and few in Texas), and was curious what what someone like yourself (someone who has put a considerable amount of thinking into feminism and racism) viewed of the topic.
