On the one hand, we’re supposed to be festive, and bright!
On the other hand, we’re supposed to spend way more than our usual monthly budget --- there’s gifts, travel, expensive airfare, more baking and cooking, more gifts --- we’re then supposed to be JOYOUS when we visit family that we have not seen in months.
Never mind all the triggers and memories it may bring up – oftentimes not so great ones!
So all in all, there are many many factors why the holidays can be especially stressful. You’re NOT crazy I promise!
